Ethereum Tumbles 20% In Rout - Ethereum was trading at $140.69 by 09:10 (14:10 GMT) on the Index on Friday, down 20.23% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since March 18, 2017.

The move downwards pushed Ethereum’s market cap down to $15.69B, or 8.02% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum’s market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $140.68 to $163.06 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Ethereum has seen a drop in value, as it lost 20.85%. The volume of Ethereum traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $10.88B or 11.04% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $140.6753 to $185.9690 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 90.11% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.

Elsewhere in cryptocurrency trading

Bitcoin was last at $6,876.9 on the Index, down 14.85% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.22278 on the Index, a loss of 10.05%.

Bitcoin’s market cap was last at $127.30B or 65.07% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP’s market cap totaled $9.90B or 5.06% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
