Litecoin Falls 12% In Rout – Litecoin was trading at $48.826 by 08:45 (12:45 GMT) on the Index on Wednesday, down 12.03% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since September 24.

The move downwards pushed Litecoin’s market cap down to $3.332B, or 1.51% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Litecoin’s market cap was $14.099B.

Litecoin had traded in a range of $48.826 to $53.464 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Litecoin has seen a drop in value, as it lost 2.53%. The volume of Litecoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $2.509B or 4.26% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $48.8256 to $55.6033 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Litecoin is still down 88.37% from its all-time high of $420.00 set on December 12, 2017.

Elsewhere in cryptocurrency trading

Bitcoin was last at $7,604.2 on the Index, down 8.83% on the day.

Ethereum was trading at $161.73 on the Index, a loss of 7.54%.

Bitcoin’s market cap was last at $143.750B or 65.18% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while Ethereum’s market cap totaled $18.148B or 8.23% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
