Craig Wright “The Satoshi” Plans To Expose Anonymous Coins, Monero, ZCash

Dr. Craig Wright brags of his capacity to expose anonymous cryptocurrencies. He told CNBC Africa’s Ran Neuner that he would do that later in the year.

Wright’s Plan To Kill Monero and ZCash

Maybe another comic play on the horizon in the crypto market along with others, Dr. Craig Wright has gained the interest of the cryptocurrency market recently, or maybe it is just another means to pull publicity.

Wright, an Australian computer scientist and an alleged creator of Bitcoin, the self-acclaimed “Satoshi” informed CNBC Africa’s Ran Neuner that he knows how to kill ZCash and Monero. Wright stated that he plans to expose the anonymous cryptocurrency later this year. In his own words, he says, “if you have a privacy coin, I will show you that it is basically as private as running through Times Square with your pants around your ankles.”

Further, Wright said in response to a tweet that, “not my issue, you use an anon coin, a crime coin as this is all they really are, and you are in many countries already committing a crime. So, I would rather teach the Feds how to stop this than help a bunch of losers help criminals.”

Possible Trouble Ahead For Anonymous Coins

Meanwhile, if Wright’s plan comes through, trouble could be on the horizon for these cryptocurrency projects. Dark web users among others prefer to use anonymous cryptos such as Monero and ZCash. Exposing the flaws would make it less attractive for use by its fans.

With Bitcoin and some other cryptos, users details can easily be trailed once the details of a wallet are obtained. Hence, they are less enticing for the league of illegal users.

Maybe Wright Is The Cheat That the Fed Needs To Stop

Craig Wright has been prominent in the crypto market with his claims of being the founder of Bitcoin, “Satoshi Nakamoto.” Everyone in the crypto sphere knows he is a joker, and he is impersonating a person which makes him a cheat.

Also, his claims of having the flaws of anonymous cryptocurrencies is not a new thing. In recent time the work of a team of researchers from Princeton, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, MIT, and the University of Illinois had earlier revealed the flaws of the anonymous cryptocurrencies.

Equally, a DEA report last year noted that the anonymous cryptos such as Monero are not secretive for the law enforcement to investigate as they have the measure they use.

This means Wright might be claiming the works of previous researchers like he claimed to be the “Satoshi.”
