On March 13, 2019, blockchain project Ontology (ONT) announced through a Medium post that they have entered into a strategic partnership with several multimedia industry leaders.
The first quarter of 2019 is done and dusted and it won’t be a stretch to state that Ontology has made quite a stride during the year’s first three months. On March 4, 2019, it came to public knowledge that the project has joined forces with GoWithMi to implement blockchain technology for land management.
Ontology Getting the Big Players on Board
The latest development coming from the Ontology ecosystem is that the firm has entered into a partnership with several multimedia firms including MovieBlock, Pandora.tv, and Prism Exchange.
The announcement was made by Li Jun, the founder of Ontology, who was speaking at the TOKEN2049 conference in Hong Kong.
The aforementioned media concerns are some of the top ones in the industry. While MovieBlock is owned by KMPlayer, the world’s largest multimedia platform with downloads in excess of 812 million, Pandora.tv is the world’s first ever video sharing platform. Similarly, Prism Exchange is an all-inclusive video marketing platform.
Substantiating on KMPlayer, it is one of the world’s largest and earliest video media players. The media platform has been downloaded a mammoth 812 million times since 2006 and has a presence in more than 150 countries.
On a similar note, Pandora.tv is the world’s first sharing portal that advertises through user-uploaded video footage. The website also provides unlimited storage space for users to upload.

The TOKEN2049 conference was attended by numerous heavyweights from the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry including Peter Kim, CEO of Pandora.tv, Chris Kang, CEO of MovieBloc, as well as representatives from Litecoin, Coinbase, Abra, ICON, Block.one, TRON, NEO, Wanchain, Lisk, Elastos, Zilliqa, and Ledger, among others.
Ontology noted in the Medium post that this partnership is a huge milestone in the firm’s vision of fostering ONT’s public blockchain infrastructure the world over. More details about the partnership are expected to be out on March 14, 2019, per the Medium post.
Of a truth, Ontology has added a number of feats to its list of achievements in recent times.
