Tulsi Gabbard Bought Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC) at the Peak in 2017

US Congresswoman and Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard had bought Litecoin and Ethereum at the height of the bull market as per her federal disclosure report.

As per the report, she bought $1,001 to $15,000 of Ethereum and Litecoin in December 2017. Bitcoin around that time was at its highest at $19,500. It’s still unclear how much amount she holds but she must’ve lost most of her investments with the ongoing bear market.

Even US Congressman and Republican Bob Goodlatte held $17,000 to $80,000 worth of Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash and Ethereum in 2018. His son, Bobby Goodlatte Jr., is also an angel investor in Coinbase.

Tulsi Gabbard said in a statement leading up to her presidential announcement:

“There are a lot of challenges that are facing the American people…that I want to help solve.”

The main topics that 37-year-old Gabbard is focusing on are climate change, health care, and criminal justice reform.

While other Democrats such as Governor of California Gavin Newsom have been long term supporters of Bitcoin some of them have been critical of Cryptocurrencies, the most notable being Elizabeth Warren who is also running for the presidency.

Well, a few challenges have been the backlash that crypto has faced from current lawmakers. As a result of this, the Blockchain Association was made by Coinbase, Circle and the Digital Currency Group which managed to get laws passed to promote digital currencies and blockchain in the United States.
